The Aion team would like wish you and your family happy holidays. During this time, the team will be spending the rest of the year with their families. Customer Support will be available to take your inquiries but response times may be slower during this period. There will be a scheduled maintenance on Wednesday, December 31 and many Solorius Festival events continue to run until the start of the new year.

Events to keep in mind:

1. There will be a scheduled server maintenance on Wednesday, December 31, 2014 from 5:30 AM to 6:30 AM Central time. The game will be unavailable for approximately 1 hour.
2. The Power Lockbox will no longer drop in game after the December 31st maintenance. The all-new Fortune Lockbox will drop in its place.
3. Gank the Granker event will end at 12:00 AM Central January 1, 2015. Coin exchanges with Pandarinrinerk will be available until January 7, 2015.
4. Wheel of Fortunerk mini-game will end on January 2, 2015.
5. Solorius Festival Cookie Decorating Contest submissions will be accepted no later than January 1, 2015.

During this adjustment period, we will be applying and testing additional adjustments for the sieges. The Panesterra siege will resume on Sunday, January 25.

Get More XP: The Fast Track Server

The best way for players to level quickly is the Fast-Track Server.  From levels 1 to 50, the fast track server provides a 200% XP boost, so you’ll be able to level twice as fast by simply being on it! Additionally, it is a safe zone from PVP combat, so you’ll be free to concentrate on maximizing your XP. You can stay on the Fast-Track Server until you hit level 56. Once reaching level 56, you will return to the Standard Server and resume your gameplay on our home server. By then you’ll have all the tools you need to be a powerful opponent to those who would challenge you!

Information on accessing the Fast -Track Server can be found in our Player's Guide. You can also switch back to your regular server at any time.

The inter-server Panesterra sieges return this Sunday, February 1 starting at 7 PM Server Time! Panesterra was once part of Balaurea, ruled by the ancient Danuar. After a mysterious explosion of Ide in Kaldor, Panesterra was forced into another dimension. Continued Ide experiments in this new zone only brought further destruction across the land, this desolation revealed in its jagged cliffs and precarious bases.

Panesterra is the ultimate siege. No longer will you be fighting against your server's opposing faction. In the Panesterra siege, it is you against another server of either faction. Claim victory for your server faction and together you will all bask in all the glory this exciting new zone has to offer.

With any contested area, the rivalry between Asmodian and Elyos grow stronger. During these chaotic times, additional supplies are being delivered to those who step up to the challenge Panesterra presents. Enter Panesterra every Sunday at 7 PM Server Time and take up arms to claim your hold on Panesterra.

For level 65 players who attend the Panesterra sieges, a survey will be available during the hour of the siege. The survey includes:

• -    Expeditionary Force Ceramium Medal Box
• -    [Event] Premium Wind Serum

 For the unsuccessful server faction, the 100 participating level 65 players will be award the following the Monday after the siege:

• -    51 GP via quest items
• -    Dragon’s Improvement Box

For all those participating regardless of server or faction, there will be a chance to get a bonus reward.

• Ten randomly chosen players will get:
• -    Major Danuar Relic (AP)

All Daevas know Shugos are a very enterprising group. With the arrival of all these shiny equipment over the last couple of weeks (which was itself the work of some very creative Shugos), a demand has been created. After all, everyone wants to be as powerful as they can be, right?

A group of Shugos has recently come into a large supply of manastones and related items. It’s not clear how, but the phrase “fell off the back of a dredgion" was heard whispered a couple of times. Today, we announced the title of Aion’s newest expansion, Upheaval. As you can imagine from the title, a lot is going to happen.

The Dragon Lord Beritra has continued to amass great power, and his assaults on Atreia have become more relentless and violent. Beritra has enacted large-scale invasions into the rest of Atreia from his hidden stronghold in Balaurea. But there is more to his strategy than just widespread destruction, as he searches for the ancient seals to unleash a power so great it threatens the lives of every living being in Atreia. And as his armies continue their advance, the landscape will be forever changed!

As the dramatic storyline of Aion continues to unfold, the expansion will also bring with it new zones, new questlines, and new gear. Players will once again find themselves challenged to improve their characters and their playstyles as they strive to locate the Dragon Lord and bring the battle to him on their terms.

We’ll have more details on the expansion in the coming days and weeks. In the meantime, Daevas should prepare themselves for their greatest challenge yet.

The limits of Balaurea have been tapped. A false vision of victory has deceived the Daevas and brought an uneasy confidence. The death of Tiamat, the discovery of Kaldor and Levinshor, and mounting conquests brought glimmers of security to a doomed world.

As the Elyos and Asmodians fought amongst themselves to claim territory, Beritra’s forces used this distraction to capture the Linkgate Foundry. There, the shadowy Dragon Lord was able to unlock secrets of dimensional research that would allow passage through the protective veil of Atreia. Great machines were constructed to facilitate a sinister plan, and Beritra moved to seize the ancient relics that he had sought for so long. Everything was in place. With a roar of whirring machinery, and the ability to attack Atreia directly, the invasion began.

Though the Daevas had begun to unravel Beritra’s plot, they had not realized the grand scope of what the Dragon Lord had put into motion quickly enough. As his mechanized invaders poured into Atreia, the Daevas scrambled to protect their lands. Ravenous machines, powered by Ide, pressed on all fronts, but their purpose was far more devious than conquest.

Long buried in shadowed reaches of Katalam and Danaria, the Sealing Stones hummed with ancient commands. Under the cover of the invasion, Beritra managed to destroy the Sealing Stones. Without any warning, the land under Sarpan, Tiamaranta, Katalam and Danaria began to quake.  Finally, Beritra takes his devastating steps into Atreia.

Last week, we previewed the Afterburner, one of the new mounts coming in Aion: Upheaval. This week, we present another new mount, the Majestic Clucklich. Cross the road in style and soar through Atreian skies with this magnificent mount.

Mark your calendars! The new free content expansion Aion: Upheaval launches on June 17! This expansion will bring massive and destructive change to the world of Atreia, as Beritra takes the next steps in his master plan.  Long buried in shadowed reaches of Katalam and Danaria, the Sealing Stones hummed with ancient commands. Under the cover of the invasion, Beritra managed to destroy the Sealing Stones. With their magic halted, the land under Sarpan, Tiamaranta, Katalam and Danaria began to quake as an ancient island rose from the ocean. A massive tidal wave crashed into Balaurea and broke apart the Reian lands, banishing them forever to the ocean floor.

Now, Beritra seeks a powerful ancient relic in the emerged lands of Cygnea and Enshar.  With so much already lost, it is finally time for you to face the Dragon Lord!

The task of saving this shattered world falls to you, brave Daevas. But before you face the might of the Dragon Lord, prepare yourself for what is to come.

Code Red: Atreia returns in advance of the expansion, giving players a leveling boost and some free buffs and potions to help them in the trials that lay ahead.

Take a first look at Cygnea, where the Elyos have occupied their forces. Cygnea, which until very recently was in the depths of the ocean, still houses its abundance of aquatic life and features.  While above land now, you'll still feel as if you're below the waves whether you're fighting the Blackfin tribe or seeking the entrance to the Drakenspire.
